Pursuit United Double Oaked Bourbon (70cl, 54%)

Pursuit United Double Oaked Bourbon is a blended straight bourbon from Kentucky, bottled at 54% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It starts from the Pursuit Spirits blended straight bourbon and, after its first maturation, receives a second oak treatment. That second stage uses seasoned French oak staves that have been air-dried and toasted, which add sweetness, texture and a more layered oak character. The nose offers butterscotch, toasted marshmallow, vanilla cream and warm oak. On the palate come rich toffee, vanilla custard, caramelised sugar and gentle baking spice, followed by a long, warming finish of oak, cinnamon and soft sweetness.
