Rabbit Hole Founder's Collection Adourra is a 9 year old bourbon from Louisville, Kentucky, finished in Armagnac casks. The mash bill is 78% corn, 13% rye and 9% barley.
The whiskey spent nine years in new American oak barrels that were wood-fired, toasted and charred, then moved into 30-year-old French oak Armagnac casks, which are used as a solera. It is bottled at 54% ABV, non-chill filtered, and is a numbered release in the Founder's Collection.
The nose is earthy, with dark cigar leaf, a little cherry and sweet floral notes. The palate is sweet with oak, dark fruit and custard, moving into leather, wood and spice. The finish is long and smoky, with black pepper, citrus and a touch of oak.
