Rampur Barrel Blush is an Indian single malt made at Rampur Distillery in Uttar Pradesh. It was first matured in American bourbon barrels and then finished in Australian Shiraz wine casks. It is bottled at 45% and is non-chill filtered.
The Shiraz finish adds ripe berries and dark fruit to the tropical, malty character of the distillery, alongside vanilla, caramel, toffee, oak and warming spice.
The nose combines tropical fruit and delicate florals with malt, vanilla and oak. The palate is full-bodied, with sweet fruit, Shiraz-driven fruit, caramel and seasoned oak. The finish is long, with dark fruit, sweet malt and spice.
