Rampur – Sangam World Malt Whisky (70cl)

Sangam is a world malt whisky from Rampur, made by combining a range of malts. It draws on fruity, floral and spicy character associated with the east, and on sweet aromas with a little smokiness associated with the west. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The nose opens with lychee, green apple, pear and apricot, then citrus, rose and heather, with honey, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon and nutmeg beneath and a touch of salt and peat. On the palate it is creamy and fruity, balanced by gentle peat and salt, before peat smoke gives way to cinnamon, nutmeg, oaky vanilla and honey. The finish is long.
