Rare Character Commanders Club Grand Cuvée Reserve is a barrel-proof Kentucky bourbon at 61.74% ABV, in a 750ml bottle. It was bottled by the independent bottler Rare Character, from barrels of undisclosed Kentucky distilleries.
It is a single release that marries 10-year-old and 15-year-old barrels chosen by the Rare Character team, and it was bottled at full barrel proof without cutting.
The nose shows dark caramel, toasted oak, bittersweet chocolate and baking spice. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. The finish is long and warming, with charred oak, dark chocolate and a dry spice trail.
