Barrel KHR-073 carries the Kentucky High Rye designation, with a mashbill of 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley.
The nose offers caramel, charred oak, cinnamon and clove, with toasted vanilla underneath. The palate shows dark cherry and roasted nut over caramel, then black pepper and baking spice. The finish is long and peppery, with charred oak, rye spice and a return of vanilla and dark cocoa.
