Red Spot 15 Year Old is a single pot still Irish whiskey, matured for over 15 years in American bourbon casks, Spanish sherry butts and Sicilian Marsala wine casks. It is the top expression in the Red Spot range.
The nose has pot still spice with cooked fruit, baked apple, mango and black cherry, plus hazelnut and a touch of new leather alongside toasted American oak. On the palate, ripe fruit sweetness from the Marsala casks meets sweet red pepper and cracked black pepper, ending in American oak and barley. The finish is very long, with fruit and spice.
