Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a single pot still Irish whiskey from Midleton Distillery in County Cork, in a 70cl bottle at 57.2% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
Pot still whiskey is made from malted and unmalted barley in a single distillery, and is triple distilled in copper pot stills. The 12 Year Old matures in a combination of bourbon casks and oloroso sherry butts, giving a clear sherry influence with spicy, fruity notes.
This cask strength version is described as showing figs, ripe bananas, vanilla and oak.
