Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is the undiluted version of Redbreast's 12 year old single pot still Irish whiskey, bottled at 57.2% without chill filtration. It is made at Midleton Distillery in County Cork from malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in copper pot stills.
The whiskey matured for 12 years in ex-bourbon American oak barrels and Oloroso sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts.
The nose is spicy and fruity, with toasted wood and a rich sherry undertone. The palate is full-flavoured and silky, balancing spice, fruit, sherry and toasted oak. The finish is long.
