Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is a single pot still Irish whiskey in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 58%. It is made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills.
It is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon American oak barrels and Oloroso sherry-seasoned Spanish oak butts. This cask strength version shows the 12 Year Old in its natural, full-flavoured form.
The nose is spicy and fruity with toasted wood. The palate is silky and full, balancing spice, fruit, sherry and toasted notes, and the finish is long.
