Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength

Redbreast 12 Year Old Cask Strength is an Irish single pot still whiskey, made from a mash of malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled in copper pot stills. It presents the 12 year old in its natural, full-flavoured form. The whiskey is matured in a combination of ex-bourbon American oak barrels and Spanish oak butts that previously held Oloroso sherry, which gives the distinctive Redbreast sherry style. The nose offers fruit salad, dried stone fruits, peaches, plump sultanas, candied orange and oaken spice. The palate is silky, with stewed spiced fruits, vanilla cream and mellow oak. The finish is warm and oaky, with baking spices, sherried fruit and robust barley.
