This is Redbreast 27 Year Old, a single pot still Irish whiskey bottled at cask strength, 53.5%, in a 70cl bottle. It is Batch 2 and the oldest expression in the Redbreast core range.
The whiskey matured for 27 years in a mix of Bourbon, sherry and ruby port casks, which add depth to the spirit.
The nose is spicy, with prunes, orange peel and chocolate-covered raisins. The palate is rich and complex.
