Redbreast Lustau Edition is a single pot still Irish whisky in a 70cl bottle, made through a partnership between Bodegas Lustau and Midleton Distillery. It was aged for 9 to 12 years in bourbon and sherry casks, then spent a final year in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts from Jerez, Spain.
The nose brings prunes, figs, liquorice, marzipan, toasted oak and spice. The palate is silky, with bold spice, rich sherry depth and fresh Spanish oak. The finish is long, sweet and spicy, with Oloroso and oak lingering.
