Redbreast Lustau Edition is an Irish single pot still whiskey, made by Midleton Distillery in collaboration with Bodega Lustau in Jerez. It is bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle and is non-chill-filtered.
The triple-distilled whiskey is made from malted and unmalted barley. It first matures in bourbon and sherry casks, then spends about a year in Lustau Oloroso casks for its finish.
Cherries, dates and figs sit beside marzipan on the nose, with liquorice and oak. The palate brings vanilla, roasted almonds and plum, with a full, creamy body. The finish is long, with sherried fruit, oak spice and pot still spice.
