Redbreast Moscatel Wine Cask Edition is a single pot still Irish whiskey from the Iberian Series, distilled at Midleton and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
It was first matured in bourbon and sherry casks, then finished in Moscatel wine casks from Spain.
The nose offers ripe grapes, honey, floral notes and dried fruit with a touch of citrus. The palate is full and creamy, with apricot, raisin, almonds and fine spice, along with the oiliness typical of Redbreast. The finish is long and soft, balancing sweetness, fruit and restrained oak.
