Redbreast PX Edition (46%)

Redbreast PX Edition is an Irish single pot still whiskey from the Midleton Distillery, made from malted and unmalted barley and triple distilled. It belongs to the Iberian Series and is bottled at 46% ABV without chill filtration. After maturing in bourbon and oloroso sherry casks, it spends further time in Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads, which add dark fruit, nuts and concentrated sweetness. The nose offers warm spice, roasted nuts, dark fruit and orange zest. The palate is silky and almost syrupy, with burnt almonds and dark fruit compote, and the long finish carries the sherry sweetness.
