- Cognac cask finish
A high-rye bourbon from Redemption, finished in French Cognac casks and bottled at 49.5% ABV in a 750ml bottle. The base bourbon has a mash bill with 36% rye.
The Cognac finish softens the spicy rye backbone, bringing dark fruit, honey and toasted French oak.
The nose is rich and floral, with dark plum, baked nectarine, honey and toasted French oak. On the palate it is round, with toffee, brown sugar, pink peppercorn and jammy dark fruit. The finish is long and warming, balancing lively rye spice with sweet Cognac.
