Redemption Wheated Bourbon is a straight bourbon from Batch No. 005, distilled at MGP in Lawrenceburg, Indiana and bottled by Redemption Whiskey at 92 proof (46%). It was matured in new charred oak barrels.
The mash bill is printed on the front label: 51% corn, 45% winter wheat and 4% malted barley. Wheat takes the place of rye as the flavour grain, which gives a softer, maltier character.
The nose is toasty and malty, with soft caramel, vanilla and dried honey. The palate is smooth and creamy, with caramel, vanilla, soft grain sweetness and gentle oak. The finish is medium and clean, with caramel and toasted grain.
