Redwood Empire – Emerald Giant Cask Strength Rye (75cl, 58.2%)

Redwood Empire Emerald Giant is a cask strength rye from Northern California, named after the fastest-growing redwood in the world. It is made from a 95% rye mash bill and bottled uncut, straight from the barrel, at 58.2% ABV (116.4 proof) in a 75cl bottle. The nose is black pepper, cinnamon, candied ginger and heavily toasted oak. The palate is thick and robust, with peppery rye, maple syrup, dark chocolate and baking spices. The finish is very long and dry, with dark cocoa and a spicy rye kick.
