Redwood Empire Foggy Burl Single Malt Whiskey (47%)

Foggy Burl is a Californian American single malt from Redwood Empire Whiskey, bottled at 47% ABV. It belongs to the brand's Small Set Series, an experimental range that moves beyond bourbon and rye. It is made from 100% malted barley, using several specialty malts including darker roasted ones, and is a blend of selected barrels. The nose combines brandied cherry, port-like fruit, cashew, chamomile and light malt sweetness. The palate is rich, with chocolate, brownie, molasses, dark fruit and earthy undertones. The finish is medium to long, with roasted malt, spice and a slightly dry, tannic edge.
