Reinheart 6 Year Old Rye Whiskey Small Batch 2016 (50cl, 45%)

A Maryland-style rye whiskey from Reinheart, bottled at 45% in a 50cl bottle. It is a small batch release and a cocktail-friendly counterpart to the brand's single cask editions. The mash is 70% rye, 20% corn and 10% malted barley. The spirit was distilled at the Märkische Distillery in Hagen, Germany, then matured for six years in virgin American oak with a medium toast and level 4 char. It was aged and bottled at Vintre Møller Distillery in Lejre, Denmark. It is described as having rye and clear oak, a little vanilla sweetness, dried and overripe fruit, graphite, baked pecan pie and maple syrup, finishing dry, malty and spicy.
