This is a Virginia bourbon from Reservoir Distillery, made from 100 per cent corn and bottled at 50%. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The whisky was matured in 20-litre quarter casks with an alligator char.
The nose is described as vanilla, chalk, corn and toast. On the palate it is medium to full-bodied, with char, pencil shavings, coffee and pecan. The finish moves from tobacco leaf into a lingering sweet cherry.
