Ricossa Barbera d'Asti 2020 (75cl, 13.5%)

This is a 2020 Barbera d'Asti DOCG from the Ricossa family, made from 100% Barbera in Monferrato, Piemonte. The wine is made naturally, with ten days of maceration on the skins and a temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel, followed by malolactic fermentation. Deep and bright red in the glass, it smells of cherries, blackberries and red fruit, with a touch of vanilla spice. The palate is medium in structure with soft, velvety tannins, and the finish is long and elegant.
