Rittenhouse Bottled-in-Bond Straight Rye (70cl, 50%)

Rittenhouse Bottled-in-Bond Straight Rye is a Kentucky rye whiskey produced by Heaven Hill, named after Philadelphia's Rittenhouse Square and revived from Pennsylvania's rye tradition. It is bottled at 50% ABV, or 100 proof, in a 70cl bottle. As a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey it follows the 1897 act: distilled in one season, by one distiller, at one distillery, and aged for at least four years in federally bonded warehouses. The mash bill is high in rye. The nose offers caramel, dark fruit, cocoa, rye spice and a touch of charred oak. On the palate come baking spice, toffee, orange peel and pepper, and the finish is long and warming with cinnamon, oak and bittersweet chocolate.
