This is a straight rye whiskey from Heaven Hill, made in Kentucky in the historic Pennsylvania rye style. As a Bottled-in-Bond whiskey it is bottled at 100 proof, or 50% ABV, and it has no added colouring. It matured in new, charred American white oak.
The nose brings clove, allspice and caramel, with cocoa and orange peel. The palate is led by cinnamon and nutmeg with orange zest and firm oak, balanced by some sweetness. The finish is long, with orange, spicy oak and a fine mineral note.
