A Cabernet Sauvignon Riserva from Alto Adige. It shows a measured, centred character, with mature dark fruit, light sweet spice, tobacco and cocoa on the nose, all kept elegant and controlled. The palate is full and structured, with present but polished tannins, lively acidity and a savoury, clean finish.
It suits red meats, braises and aged cheeses, and also stands up to intense dishes. A few hours of decanting helps release the aromas and soften the structure. It can be enjoyed after adequate aeration or kept for moderate ageing.
