A Lagrein from Alto Adige, produced by Ritterhof and presented in a 1500ml bottle. It is dark ruby with violet reflections, with a bouquet of ripe black fruits, plum and blueberry, accompanied by subtle spicy sensations and a hint of violet. On the palate it is full and enveloping, with present but polished tannins, balanced freshness and a savoury texture that supports the sip through a pleasant persistence. The structure is solid without being heavy. It pairs well with roast meats, braised dishes and aged cheeses, and may benefit from brief decanting.
