Ritterhof Sauvignon Alto Adige DOC

A Sauvignon from Alto Adige. The wine shows citrus peel, elderflower, a herbaceous note reminiscent of tomato leaf and a mineral note that gives clarity. On the palate it is slim but well defined, with lively acidity and a savoury quality that cleanses the palate; the body is medium and the finish is persistent, recalling the initial aromas with a pleasant tension. Best served fresh, around 8-10 degrees, in a wide glass; it is enjoyable young but keeps a modest ability to evolve over a few years. It pairs naturally with light fish dishes, shellfish, sushi and complex salads where herbs and citrus prevail, and also with fresh cheeses.
