Riverbourne 3 Year Old Batch 1 (That Boutique-y Whisky Company) (50cl, 50%)

This is a 3 year old Australian single malt from Riverbourne Distillery in Jingera, New South Wales, bottled at 50% in a 50cl bottle. Batch 1 belongs to the Australia Series that That Boutique-y Whisky Company launched in April 2021. It matured in re-charred ex-wine casks of American and French oak, and it is non-chill-filtered with no added colouring. The nose brings pickled lemon and honey with gunpowder tea and tobacco. On the palate, warming black tea recalls a hot toddy. The finish is spicy and herbal, and lasts a long time.
