Roger Groult 8 Ans Calvados

Roger Groult 8 Ans is a calvados from the family-run Roger Groult distillery, aged for eight years. It is distilled twice in old wood-fired stills and matured in very old oak casks, most of them a century old. The aim is to keep the fruit and freshness of a young eau-de-vie while adding the warmth that comes with time in oak. The nose and palate show apple, cinnamon and vanilla, with fruit that is almost candied, like a roast apple with honey and butter. The mouth is round and generous. It suits cheese, serving as an aperitif, over ice, or as a trou normand.
