This Rosebank was distilled on 3 July 1991 and matured for 32 years in a single first-fill bourbon barrel, cask 2114. Gordon & MacPhail bottled it on 18 June 2024 at 51.2%, filling 141 bottles of 70cl, without chill-filtering or added colour.
It belongs to the third Recollection Series, six single cask bottlings from closed or long-silent distilleries. Rosebank, in Falkirk, closed in 1993.
The nose is gorse blossom and lime zest with a touch of milk chocolate, then dried banana and a little peanut. The palate moves from honeycomb sweetness to subtle guava and passion fruit, followed by poached pear and vanilla fudge. The finish is creamy and medium in strength, with apple, tropical fruit and a hint of oak.
