This is a 21-year-old Lowland single malt from Rosebank in Falkirk, and the sixth edition of the Roses series from Elixir Distillers. It matured in a combination of bourbon and Madeira casks, and 840 bottles were produced. The nose has ripe peach and apricot with the sweetness of dates, plus lilac and a subtle touch of cardamom. On the palate are nectarines and mirabelles, with dark plum and a fine note of cloves. The finish is elegant, leaving a soft, natural grain note that lingers.
