A 21-year-old Rosebank single malt from the Lowlands, bottled by Elixir Distillers as the seventh and final edition of The Roses series. The distillery is no longer working.
The whisky matured in a selection of ex-bourbon and Madeira casks, and 925 bottles were filled.
The nose has juicy nectarines, light grapes, apple and pear, with lilac, lavender and a fine caramel sweetness. The palate is fruit-rich, with ripe peach, pineapple and mango, then juicy apple and melting caramel. The finish brings roses and violets, with a lively note of juicy orange.
