This is a 31 year old Rosebank, distilled on 3 July 1991 and bottled on 10 February 2023 by Gordon & MacPhail for Connoisseurs Choice The Recollection Series #2. It matured in a single first fill bourbon barrel, which gave 101 bottles at 53.5%.
The whisky dates from the last years of production before Rosebank closed in 1993. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose is described as sweet vanilla pod and peach cake, with lemon, a little lychee, warm spice and toasted malt. The palate is soft and creamy, with baked apple, aniseed and clementine. The finish is medium in length, with sweet menthol and liquorice.
