Rumclub Edition 40 Australia 2007 16 Year Old single cask Rum (50cl, 64.8%)

A single cask rum from the Beenleigh Distillery in Australia, distilled in 2007 and aged for 16 years. It is made from molasses and bottled at cask strength. The outturn is 376 bottles. It spent four years in tropical ageing and five years in Europe. The nose is dark, chocolatey and creamy, with tropical fruit. The palate is fruity, complex and full, with a mouthfeel reminiscent of a 30-year-old Uitvlugt rum from Guyana. The finish is very long, intense and complex.
