A single cask rum from the Long Pond distillery in Jamaica, distilled in 2004 and aged for 20 years. It is bottled at 63.3% vol in a 500 ml bottle, limited to 315 bottles.
It spent 13 years ageing under the tropical sun in Jamaica and seven further years of continental ageing in Europe, in former Bourbon casks of American oak. The rum carries the CRV mark.
Mahogany in colour, it shows oak and sweet caramel at first, then dried fruit, candied sugar and dark chocolate, with cautious funky Jamaican notes and a long, velvety finish.
