Sakurao – Single Malt Japanese Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Sakurao is a Japanese single malt bottled at 43%, in a 70cl bottle. It is aged in four types of cask for more than three years in the warehouse at the Sakurao distillery in Hatsukaichi, which faces the Seto Inland Sea. Warm sea winds and cold mountain winds keep a large temperature difference through the year, and the sea's aroma is said to reach the casks. The colour is dark amber. The nose has raisin, orange and peach, and the palate balances vanilla sweetness with moderate astringency and acidity. The finish is smoky and oaky, with a rich sweetness.
