This is a single malt from the Sakurao distillery in Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima, bottled at 50% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery sits between the Seto Inland Sea to the south and the Chugoku Mountains to the north.
The whisky was aged in bourbon barrels, then finished for 18 months in Sauternes wine casks. It is a limited release, amber in colour. It is smooth and fruity, with apricot, apple and pear and a long-lasting honey flavour.
