Sandeman 10 Year Old Tawny Port is a medium-sweet tawny from a Port house founded in 1790. It is a blend of Ports aged in oak for between 9 and 12 years, put together to give the character of a 10-year-old. The colour is an intense red tawny with brick shades.
The nose brings ripe jammy fruit, toasted nuts, warm vanilla and raisin. The palate is full-bodied, with dried fruit, rich wood spice and a nutty creaminess, sweet but kept in balance by fine acidity.
The finish is persistent, with cherry and plum, a hint of anise and a delicate echo of dried orange peel.
