Sandeman Apitiv White Port NV (20%)

This is a non-vintage white Port from Sandeman, made in Portugal's Douro Valley and bottled at 20% ABV. It is blended from traditional white Port grape varieties and fortified with grape spirit. It then matures in seasoned oak, which adds depth while keeping the fruit fresh. The style is medium-sweet, and it works on its own or in cocktails. The nose offers citrus blossom, ripe pear and white peach, with honeysuckle, vanilla bean and light almond. The palate is juicy, with lemon curd, ripe apricot and lychee, lifted by zesty acidity and a touch of honeyed spice. The finish is clean and persistent, with lingering citrus.
