This is a 20 Year Old Tawny Port from Sandeman, a Port house founded in 1790 and known for its Don logo. It is a blend of several vintages aged in oak casks, with an old-gold amber colour.
The nose offers honey, dried apricot, subtle spice and warm vanilla. On the palate it is smooth and complex, with dried apricots, hazelnuts, butterscotch, toasted coconut, almonds, chocolate, salted caramel and leather, in a medium to full body with well-integrated tannins and moderate oak.
The finish is long and warm, sweet with gentle spice and dried fruit.
