Sazerac de Forge & Fils Finest Original is a limited-release cognac bottled at 47% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is named for Bernard Sazerac de Forge, with the house established in 1782.
It looks back to the pre-phylloxera era and uses old native grape varieties, Folle Blanche and Colombard. The blend contains eaux-de-vie aged between seven and fifty years. It is non-chill filtered and free from additives.
The nose offers yellow stone fruit, dried flowers, citrus peel and warm spice. The palate is silky and creamy, with dried fruit, pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon. The finish is long and soft, with oaky tannins, vanilla and black peppercorn.
