Sazerac Straight Rye (75cl, 45%)

Sazerac Straight Rye is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery, aged for four to six years and bottled at 45% in a 75cl bottle with an old-style shape. The name looks back to the Sazerac Company's nineteenth-century beginnings at the Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans, where Peychaud's bitters, absinthe and rye whiskey were combined in the cocktail that carries the name. It is described as tangy and spicy, with a sweet edge and herbal notes, and it works well in a Manhattan.
