This is a 16 year old single malt from Scapa, a distillery on Orkney's Scapa Flow founded in 1885 and counted among Scotland's most northerly. It is made from malted barley only. It is bottled at 48% ABV, unfiltered and with natural colour. The bottle is deep blue and carries a sailing ship motif. The nose brings mango, vanilla and orange. On the palate there is juicy pineapple and ripe apple on an oak frame, with the spice of mulled wine. The finish is layered, with fruit and gentle spice that linger.
