Scapa 16 Year Old is a single malt from Orkney, matured in ex-bourbon casks of American oak and bottled at 48%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose brings juicy mango and clementine peel with vanilla cream and aromatic leather. On the palate it is silky and creamy, with spiced apple pie, vanilla fudge, soft oak and baked pineapple, plus pepper and a citrus note recalling lime sweets.
The finish is medium in length, with wood spices, a sweetness like dessert wine and a creamy custard note.
