Scapa 16 Year Old is a single malt from Scapa Distillery on Scotland's Orkney Islands. Introduced in 2024 as part of the distillery's Signature Single Malts collection, it spent 16 years maturing in American oak barrels and is bottled at 48% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose is led by juicy mango and vanilla cream, with clementine peel and a little leather. On the palate it is silky and creamy, with spiced apple pie, vanilla fudge, baked pineapple, smooth oak and warming spices. The finish is fruity and gently spiced, with tropical sweetness, soft vanilla and delicate oak.
