Scapa – 21 Year Old (70cl, 52.9%)

This is a 21 year old single malt from Scapa, bottled at a cask strength of 52.9% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and has natural colour. Scapa's style comes from a longer fermentation and unpeated malted barley. This whisky was matured in first-fill American oak, and its character centres on tropical and fruity notes. The nose offers homemade apricot jam with fresh raspberries over ripe banana and whipped cream, with aromatic oak and a little nutmeg. On the palate there are fresh peaches and mango in vanilla cream and sweetened condensed milk, with shortbread spiced with cardamom and cinnamon. The finish is sweet and syrupy.
