Skiren is a single malt from Scapa on Orkney, in a 70cl bottle at 40% ABV. It is a tribute to the clear summer skies of the Orkney Islands.
The whisky matures in first fill American oak casks, which give a soft, sweet style that is unusual for an island single malt. It is fresh and floral, with a long, gentle finish.
The nose is typically floral with a hint of pear, sweet pineapple and a touch of lemon. The palate is soft and sweet, with honey, melon, pear and lemon, and the finish is long with a fresh, bright sweetness.
