Secret Orkney 19 Year Old is a single malt from Orkney, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Strength Collection at a cask strength of 54.3%. It is a limited edition.
The whisky was distilled on 7 May 2005 and matured for 19 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry cask, number DRU 17/A63 #44, before bottling in 2024.
The nose is dry, grassy and floral peat with a firm saltiness, opening to candied pear and mirabelle plum, then pineapple and persimmon. The palate is malty and fruity, with orange, apricot and a little pipe tobacco as the peat softens. The finish is long, with mustard, lemon and vanilla.
