Shenk's Homestead is Michter's annual release, a small batch Kentucky sour mash whiskey. This is the 2022 edition, bottled at 45.6% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in specially selected toast and char casks.
The nose offers warm spices, caramel, soft wood and dried orange. The palate is full, with honey, cinnamon, toffee and cloves and a slightly fruity note, and the finish is long, lightly spicy and well rounded.
